RIO Hand food for baby birds 400 g

RIO Hand food for baby birds is a complete hand food and rich in nutrients and specially formulated to meet the energy needs of growing young birds in the nest. Vitamin D and easily digestible calcium help baby birds develop a strong beak and strong bones. Vitamin A and amino acids are needed for healthy plumage and skin. In addition to rich protein, fats and vitamins, the feed also contains prebiotics (MOS) and beta-glucans to support intestinal flora and healthy immune system development. The high nutritional value helps baby birds become healthy and strong, switch to solid foods earlier and develop brilliant plumage. The formula has been tested, developed and internationally recommended by professional bird breeders to support and promote the growth of young birds.

Instructions for preparation

• Use a clean bowl to mix the food with warm water (35-37°C) according to the age of the bird as indicated on the feeding chart. It is recommended to boil the water before use to ensure safety or use bottled water.
• Mix until smooth and allow to settle for 1-2 minutes. Then stir again to prevent de-mixing.
• Do not use microwave oven! Microwaves can cause “hot spots” in the feed and lead to burns in the crop.
• Test the temperature of the feed (35-37°C).
• Feed the litter until the crop is nice and round and full. Do not give too much to avoid belching! The baby bird should be fed every 3-4 hours during the day, but only after its crop is empty or nearly empty.
• The feed should be freshly prepared before each meal!

THE WEIGHT OF EACH MEAL SHOULD EQUAL 10-12% OF THE BABY BIRD'S BODY WEIGHT.
